You are reading our second electronic newsletter. I cannot believe it is August already. I hope you are still holding on tightly because this year is speeding past us (again). For our D4D athletes, the last few months have been difficult. It is never easy to keep on going through the winter months. It is however your support that kicks us out of bed on the dark and cold winter mornings or pulls us from the TV couch to go for that run, cycle, walk and swim.
The thought that our efforts are making a difference in the lives of children is the one thing that encourages us all.
Over the last few months we have worked hard to get our new website ready. There was however a hick-up or two. We hope to go live very soon. We will keep you posted.
We are also proud to present our brand new, updated D4D music video. The video clip has been posted to YouTube. (click the link, the word "YouTube" on the left ) Tip: Pause the video and allow it to download completely before you watch it. We think that the video really brings over the D4D message very well.
Keep on moving...

PRAGMA
PRAGMA's purpose is to improve the performance of their client's physical assets through a unique service called ACC or Asset Care Centres.
For the past 5 years the company and their employees have also cared for children in need via their involvement with Distance For Difference.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Distance For Difference also have supporters on the other end of the world, in this case, the Netherlands. I would like to mention people like Eva van der Molen, Eleonore van Wageningen & Carine Neefjes. They are all part of a group that specifically rally to support the Tzadokah Foster Home in South Africa, a home that D4D has taken under their wing, a few years back.
At Eva's workplace there is a very special lady, Mary van Baaren, who has been running the faculty canteen for 30 years! In Eva's own words: "... in fact she is the motherly heart around which the organisation that I lead turns. She was the great organising force behind the Christmas fundraiser for Tzadokah last December, which made €1,300. An amount that was matched by the municipality. Since then, she has given me money for the Tzadokah kids twice: first €50, now €100, paid from the money she earns with extra cleaning jobs. People like her are the salt of the earth."
In the picture you can see her with Eva kids, whom she usually spoils to bits. (Eva adopted her son from Tzadokah years ago)
